Innovative Teaching Learning
Conventional Teaching Practices: E&TC department adopts the general principles, pedagogy and management strategies used for classroom instruction. In this approach, teachers explain information while students observe. Teachers lead a lesson by presenting on, showing visuals of and modelling examples of a topic. While a teacher is presenting, students can listen, watch, take notes and copy the teacher's demonstrations.
Experiential Teaching Practices: Experiential learning involves creating a learning experience that is informative, memorable and transformative. Students are always curious to apply theories and lessons from their academic to 'the real world.' Experiential assignments give students a chance to learn-by-doing, through recognizing strengths, learning from mistakes, and how to become more skilful engineer. It is intended to be an active, dynamic alternative to traditional classroom instruction that should be interactive and collaborative for those involved. The experiential teaching practices are effective due to small group projects/assignments, field work, volunteer work and fellowships
Employment Enhancement Teaching Learning Processes followed in the department: In order to enhance the employment, the E&TC department conduct following activities:

Employability Skills Development Program: Looking into the requirement of industry, E&TC department has taken an initiative to start this program which can bridge the gap between industry and academia It is a 1 credit course with a total of 40 hour duration. Industry experts are invited to deliver the session and they act as primary trainers.

Outhouse Projects: Out-house projects give students an opportunity to interact with industry experts and carry out the project under their supervision. In outhouse project industry experts guides students at every stage while developing and executing the final year projects.
